11 Feb 2008 - Huge Wide Game at Longslade

Over 60 Cubs from three packs attended a fantastic evening out in the New Forest last week when we joined forces with the New Milton pack and Sway Cubs for a torch lit evening of fun.

The Cubs played a game of battleships first where they each had a piece of paper with the name of a naval boat on it. The idea was battleship beat destroyer, 2 subs captured a flagship etc with a leader being the flagship. Seven teams of Cubs ran around for 3 quarters of an hour capturing each other. It was like watching a host of fireflies with all the torches moving around the field.

Then they played fox and hounds with the leaders having to chase the cubs back to base.

All in all a cold but magical evening was had by all with massive thanks going out to Dom, Akela of Sway, for the marvelous job he did in organizing it.
