One two three, Who are we? We're the Beavers, can't you see?

                               BEAVERS!

Our Beaver Colony is thriving. 4 Beaver Scouts and have moved up to the Cub Pack and new members have joined as the older Beaver Scouts move on. At a recent investiture ceremony five new Beavers were formally accepted into full membership of the Scout Movement.

At meetings they are looking forward to Christmas, preparing for their annual visit to the folk in Monmouth House and for the Christingle Service. Two first stage music badges and two first stage swimmer badges have been awarded and study for the first stage IT badge is planned. Our Beavers will join with those from 9th Lymington Scout Group for their Christmas Party.

We were the Scout representatives at the Town Mayor's Civic Service and 35 Scouts and Cubs from the Group attended the Royal British Legion's Remembrance Day Parade through Lymington. Flags were carried by Charlie, Aiden and Calvin and wreaths were laid by Adam and Jack.

The Woodland Trust's "Trees For All" campaign aims to give every child the opportunity to plant a tree in the next five years. As part of the Scout Centenary Celebrations the Scout Association aims to plant at least 100 Centenary Groves and eight of our Scouts visited the Woodland Trust site at Alton to take part. They planted more than twenty of the thousand trees planted on that day.

Other Scout activities include trips to Calshot for sessions on the cycle track and the ski slope and to the Cabins for backwoodsmanship training.
